My Approach to Psychotherapy

Understanding yourself is not only about resolving difficulties; it also means noticing your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and the traces of past experiences in your life today.

I am Clinical Psychologist Beyza Turan. In my psychotherapy practice, I work with adults on anxiety, traumatic experiences, depressive processes, relationship difficulties, and challenges related to self-perception.

Focus areas

Areas of Focus

My areas of focus include:

  • Trauma and past experiences
  • Anxiety disorders and panic
  • Depressive processes and feelings of worthlessness
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Self-perception and self-confidence
  • Emotion regulation

My Psychotherapy Approach

I believe the therapy process should be shaped by each person’s life story and needs. In my clinical work I draw on EMDR Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). For me, psychotherapy is a space where a person can look not only at the difficulty they face, but also at the thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns beneath it.

Academic Background

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Istanbul Medipol University and my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Esenyurt University.

Clinical Experience

My professional and clinical experience includes Moodist Psychiatry and Neurology Hospital, Balıklı Rum Hospital, Academic Hospital, and Metis Psychological Counseling. I see psychotherapy as a space where people can look more closely at themselves and make sense of their inner world.
